New Delhi: India has asked the international community, including the US, to examine
the steps needed to ensure an end to Pakistan's links with terrorism, the Rajya
Sabha was informed on March 6.
"The international community, including the United States, must examine what
additional steps are required to ensure an end to Pakistan's links with terrorism
and clandestine proliferation activities," Minister of State for External Affairs
Digvijay Singh said during the Question Hour.
On whether the government was aware that Pakistan was also called into account for
its nuclear proliferation activity, particularly its ties with North Korea, he said
the US had publicly stated that it had discussed the issue in bilateral meetings
with Pakistan.
