Ghaziabad (UP): Asserting that India was not satisfied by "announcement and
declaration" of Pakistan regarding ending of terrorism, Deputy Prime Minister L K
Advani on March 10 said India would not hold any talks with that country till the
change is seen on the ground.
"Pakistan has not changed its attitude, although there is a change in its language.
But we are not satisfied with the announcement and declaration that they have given
up support to terrorism," he said at the 34th Raising Day of Central Industrial
Security Force (CISF).
"We will like to see the change on the ground," he said, adding so India's decision
not to hold talks with Pakistan till then would continue.
"We are waiting for Pakistan to change its attitude," he added.
After September 11 terrorist attack in New York, the world has realised the
implications of terrorism and many countries are now coming forward to work jointly
against the menace, Advani said.
Twenty countries have signed extradition treaties with India and negotiation for the
signing of the treaty or mutual legal assistance treaty and formation of joint
working groups with 30 other countries were at various stages, he said.
