New Delhi: With the threat of a war in Iraq looming large, External Affairs Minister
Yashwant Sinha has cancelled his visit to Spain and Brussels next week.
The visit has been cancelled in view of the evolving international situation,
official sources said on March 10.
While his trip to Madrid was for bilateral consultations, Sinha was slated to meet
European Commission High Commissioner Javier Solana and External Relations
Commissioner Chris Patten in Brussels besides addressing the European
Parliament.
Keeping in view the threat of war, its possible diplomatic, political and economic
fallout on India, Sinha has put off his visit.
