Mumbai: Air India on March 11 announced its new summer time-table with daily service
to the Gulf sector from Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi along with a fourth weekly service
to Newark in the US, effective from March 30.
AI will operate new flights to the Gulf including a daily service from Kochi to Abu
Dhabi, daily non-stop flights to Dubai from Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi, the airline
said in a statement.
The state-owned carrier's services to Riyadh will increase to nine per week with
introduction of new direct services from Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi and a bi-
weekly service from Hyderabad, it said.
Capacity on Kozhikode-Jeddah route will be enhanced with introduction of a Boeing
747-200 flight on Friday in addition to the three weekly Airbus 310 services on this
route.
On South East Asian sector, AI has restructured its services and has linked Delhi
with Kuala Lumpur.
With introduction of daily Airbus 310 aircraft flights to Dubai, the frequency on
the sector has been raised from 29 to 38 a week, it said, adding the standardised
departures and arrival flights would start from Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi.
A fourth weekly flight to Newark would operate on Sunday, thus increasing AI's
services to the US to 14 per week, it added.
