Kochi: About 32 teams drawn from all over the country would participate in the 54th
edition of National Lotus Club Bridge tournament, scheduled to be held here on Mar
15 and 16.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, C A Mohan, president, Ernakulam
District Bridge Association, said events in 'Team of Four Duplicate', 'Board-A-
match' and 'Master pairs' would be held in this two-day event.
Already, 22 prominent teams representing Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and
Kerala had given their entries, he said.
Team 'Well Knit' from Chennai, is the defending champion.
Prominent players who would be participating includes Afshar Majeed, who had
represented India at the world Junior Bridge Olympiad in Canada in 1997,
Venkitaraman, Sridhar, J M Shah, Kripakara Moorthi, Honey Prabhakar, Subramanyam,
Prof Madhukar Rao and Prof Gummy Salem, he said.
