Jammu: Four Army personnel were on March 13 killed in heavy firing and shelling by
Pakistani forces on forward Defence locations and civilian areas along the line of
control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistani troops fired mortar bombs and opened small arms fire at Digwar, Siker,
Sabzain and Soliki areas of the sector since 15:00 hours, police said.
Four Army personnel were killed in the shelling in Digwar area, they said.
Indian troops retaliated and both sides exchanged fire.
The shelling led to panic in the area and 10 families fled their homes in Digwar and
Soliki, police said.
