Rajouri (Jammu): Three persons were killed and 13 injured, some of them seriously,
when a bomb exploded in a passenger bus on March 13, triggering protests and
prompting authorities to call out the Army to help maintain Law and order.
The blast took place when the Jammu-bound bus reached the Rajouri bus stand around
10:55 am (IST), leaving 16 injured, three of whom succumbed in hospital, official
sources said.
The condition of some of them was stated to be critical.
The incident triggered tension in the town as groups of people came out on the
streets, forcing closer of shops and raising slogans against the authorities.
Police resorted to lathicharge on the protestors. The Army was called to help police
to maintain Law and order in the town.
