New Delhi: C D Sahay, special secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, has been
appointed the new chief of India's external intelligence agency Research and
Analysis Wing (RAW), official sources said on March 15.
Sahay, a 1967 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Karnataka cadre,
succeeds Vikram Sood, who will retire on March 31.
Sahay had joined the Cabinet Secretariat in 1975 and held various senior positions.
During his long tenure, he served in administrative and field duties.
A Masters in Physics, Sahay also taught the subject in Patna University before
joining IPS.
