Palakkad: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Human resource
Development Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi on March 16 said his party would
continue to uphold cultural nationalism as its central philosophy to safeguard the
unity and integrity of the nation.
Addressing the valedictory session of the four-day state convention of the Bharatiya
Yuva Jana Morcha (BJYM) in Palakkad, Dr Joshi lashed out at the Communist parties
for "deluding" the people of Kerala with their "outdated" philosophy.
The Communist movement the world over was on the verge of extinction and there was
no relevance for them in India as well. The Indian Communists were trying to mislead
the people by distorting facts of history, he said.
Dr Joshi said the BJP-led government was about to complete five years in office,
thereby bursting the myth that a non-Congress government would not be a stable
one.
BJYM state president M T Ramesh presided.
