London: Enthused by his parleys with Ram Jethmalani-headed Kashmir Committee, Sardar
Mohammed Abdul Qayoom, former president of the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, on March
16 said he is ready to go to New Delhi to pursue the dialogue in an effort to find
an amicable solution to the Kashmir issue.
"I am ready to go to New Delhi, heading a delegation or alone, to have a dialogue
with my Indian friends and counterparts," Qayoom told reporters.
"We had a detailed discussion on the Kashmir issue. It was very cordial,
constructive and positive in approach," Qayoom, the former Premier of PoK and
currently the supreme leader of the ruling Muslim Conference, said on his talks with
Jethmalani.
He said both had agreed to continue the process of dialogue.
"We also agreed that this sort of dialogue should not remain confined to both of us
but include like-minded personalities from both India and Pakistan and both parts of
Kashmir," Qayoom said.
He said it looked that United States and United Kingdom were now serious in
resolving the issue and "they have realised that the Kashmir issue is a flashpoint
and both the nuclear powers could go to a nuclear war".
