'Failure of UN diplomacy over Iraq disappointing'
Islamabad: Pakistan on March 18 expressed disappointment at the failure of the
United Nations Security Council (UNSC) over reaching consensus on Iraq and said
diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis should continue despite US President George W Bush issuing an ultimatum asking Saddam Hussein to leave the country within 48 hours or face war.
Pak closes Embassy in Iraq, orders staff out
Islamabad: With United States delivering a 48-hour deadline to Iraqi President Saddam Hussain to leave Baghdad or face war, Pakistan has ordered the closure of its Embassy in Baghdad and asked its Ambassador and staff to leave immediately.
