New Delhi: Hyderabad will host the inaugural Afro-Asian Games from October 24 to November 1, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced on Thursday.

An organising committee with President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as chief patrons will be set up soon, IOA president Suresh Kalmadi said in a statement.
