United Nations: Secretary General Kofi Annan on March 24 condemned in "strongest terms" the "cowardly act" of terrorism, in which 24 Kashmiri Pundits, including women and children, were massacred near the town of Shopian.

"He sends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families," his spokesman said.
