Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government on March 26 ordered a CBI inquiry into
the "murder" of the former home minister Haren Pandya in Ahmedabad this morning.
K Nitayanadam, Home Secretary, told reporters that the decision to conduct CBI
inquiry was taken at a high level meeting of the Home department, convened and
chaired by Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.
He said the state government would make all efforts to get to the bottom of the
motive behind the "brutal" killing.
