Chandigarh: The government is ready for a discussion in Parliament on the US-led war
on Iraq if Opposition asks for it, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said
on March 28.
"If the Opposition asks for a discussion (on Iraq war), the government has no
objection to it," she told reporters after addressing party workers in
Chandigarh.
"We have not received any notice from the Opposition on this," the minister
said.
On the Women's Reservation Bill, Swaraj said, "We are waiting to arrive at a
consensus, if not unanimity."
Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav was yet to get back to the government
after he had sought time to study various aspects of the Bill, she added.
