Chitrakoot (MP): "No girl was ever prepared to marry me," quipped bachelor Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on March 28 after a school child shot the poser.

Vajpayee's remark at the Ramnath Goenka Ashram, where he shared some lighter moments with school children, mostly tribals, drew peals of laughter from them.

In all curiosity, the child then asked the Prime Minister what dishes he savours the most.

Vajpayee enquired from the awestruck child whether he intended to invite him home for a meal.

The boy spontaneously replied he would love to do so but put in a rider that he would have to make inquiries on what the Prime Minister liked to eat before doing so.

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of education as well as sports in upbringing of children.
