Mulayam asks people to set fire to American goods
Saturday, March 29 2003 20:22 Hrs (IST)

Etah (UP): Accusing Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee of lacking courage to condemn the US invasion of Iraq, Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on March 29 asked people to set fire to American goods.

Vajpayee could not muster courage to flay the "inhuman act of the United States" in Iraq, Yadav told a public meeting.

"Vajpayee instead of strongly condemning the US attack is using only mild words against that country," he said.

Stating that Iraq was very close to India, he asked people and party activists to set fire to American goods after buying them.

Referring to Mayawati government, the Samajwadi Party chief dubbed it as "anti- people" and said "the Chief Minister is resorting to intimidatory tactics to remain in power".
