Islamabad: Pakistan on March 29 termed as "unjustified" United States' decision to
stop trade with its premier nuclear institution Kahuta Research Laboratory and asked
Washington to adopt "even hand" approach while dealing with it and India.
Reacting to US decision to stop trade with KRL for two years following Pakistan's
missile test on March 26, the Foreign Office in statement said missile proliferation
activities are going on in one of the neighbouring countries.
Stating that the measures against KRL were unjustified, it said, "Pakistan would
never accept any partial approaches flowing from selective application of the so-
called missile non-proliferation norms.
However, the statement said, "The decision had no material impact either on KRL,
which had never depended on foreign assistance, nor our determination to pursue our
indigenous missile programme."
