Surat: Hours before President A P J Abdul Kalam's visit to the city, police on March 29 recovered two bombs and some explosives and arrested three youth in this connection.

City police commissioner V K Gupta said that police recovered two bombs with timer devices, six gelatine sticks and detonator wires from a flat in a posh area.

Three youth, hailing from South India, were arrested, he said.
