Srinagar: Two top militants of al-Badr and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfits and a People's Democratic Party (PDP) activist were among 11 people killed in separate incidents of militancy violence in Jammu and Kashmir since March 30 night, police said.

One JeM area commander Tariq was shot dead by unidentified militants at Nagnigad- Keshwan of Doda district.

In an encounter with security forces, one Abu Zubair, a Pakistan national and an area commander of al-Badr, was killed in Budhal area of Rajouri district, a police spokesman said.

Militants shot dead PDP activist Mohammad Akbar Ganai in Nowpora Jageer village in Baramulla district.

Four Hizbul Mujahideen militants, two of them identified as Ghulam Hanief and Altaf Hussain, were killed in two encounters with security forces at Dallian Bajar and Dolni Khari in Doda district during the period.

Two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants identified as Karim-ud-Din and Abdul Salam from Rawalakote and Gujranwala in Pakistan, were shot dead in a gun battle with security forces in Matmadu forest in Kupwara district on March 31 morning.

Militants shot dead two counter-insurgents associated with Ikhwan outfit, Mohammad Ashraf Dar and Abdul Hamid Khan, at Nowath-Qazigund and Bijbehara in Anantnag district during the period, the spokesman said.
