Bangalore: Karnataka government has decided to bear the Rs 30 lakh medical expenses
of former Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde who is undergoing treatment in London.
The state Cabinet at its meeting held on April 1 decided to bear the treatment
expenses of Hegde, Minister for Information Kagodu Thimmappa told
reporters.
Hegde recently underwent brain surgery in a hospital in London.
Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna, who called on the ailing leader a couple of
days prior to his departure to London, had assured him that the government would
bear the medical expenses.
