Patna: The outlawed People's War (PW) extremists blasted the building and relay
centre of Nadul railway station and damaged tracks on Patna-Jehanabad section in
their determined bid to enforce the statewide bandh called by the ultra-Left outfits.
Jehanabad superintendent of police A K Yadav said that PW ultras numbering around 25-
30 swooped on the station and forced railway employees to leave. They later used
dynamites to blow up the main building of the station and its relay centre in the
wee hours of April 1.
The extremists also blew up tracks around 10 metres near North cabin of the station.
Train services on Patna-Jehanabad section of the East Central Railway was disrupted
as a result.
The ultra-Left outfits have called for a bandh in Bihar and Jharkhand on April 1 to
protest against continuing US-led attack on Iraq and alleged police brutality on
some of their activists who were on way to Kolkata to participate in a demonstration
on March 29.
An alert has been sounded across the state in view of the bandh call.
