Mumbai: Popular Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai would be out of action for more than
a month due to the "significant" fracture on her left leg after she was hit by a
jeep during a shooting of a film near Nasik on April 2.
Dr Sanjay Agarwala, who is attending on her at the Hinduja Hospital, said on April 3
that the actress is having good recovery and "is out of major pain".
"In fact, I made her walk with support this morning and she put up a brave face,"
Agarwala said.
The doctors have used fibreglass bandage which would help the healing faster, he
said.
Rai also suffered abrasions on her elbow and back when the jeep skidded and hit her
when rehearsal of a scene was underway during the shooting of `Khaki' at
Trimbakeshwar, about 25 km from Nasik.
She was flown to Mumbai in a helicopter and admitted to the hospital at around 00:30
hours (IST), hospital sources said.
