Daltonganj: Five members of the banned Sunlight Sena were killed in a fierce
encounter with the police in Jharkhand's Palamu district on April 4, police said.
The encounter took place when the police, acting on a tip-off, reached Bhaduma
village under Vishrampur police station when the Sena men were planning a crime, the
police said.
When the policemen asked the ultras to surrender, they opened fire. In the ensuing
exchange of fire five Sena men were killed on the spot.
Seven firearms and rounds of ammunition were recovered from the spot, the police
added.
