Bangalore: The World Bank's India Office on April 4 launched its Kannada Website to
provide an instant and round-the-clock access to information regarding the Bank's
operations in India, specially in Karnataka.
The site, third after the ones in Hindi and Telugu, is a "mirror image" of the
Bank's English Website, according to Geetanjali Chopra, Communications Associate of
the Bank. It could be accessed at http://www.vishwabanku.org.
She said the site provides information on closed, existing and proposed projects, as
also other information relating to the Bank and its operations with a special
section on Karnataka.
The "user friendly" site is linked with the Bank's main English Website and its
Hindi and Telugu Websites, making a wealth of information available, she
said.
