Kuwait City: Expatriate United Nations humanitarian workers entered Iraq on April 4
for the first time since their withdrawal last month, a senior World Food Programme
(WFP) official said.
An 11-person team from the WFP and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), as well as
representatives from the UN Office for the Humanitarian Co-ordinator for Iraq
(UNOHCI), were assessing humanitarian needs in the Southern port city of Umm Qasr,
the WFP's emergency co-ordinator for Iraq Russell Ulrey said.
