Kuwait City: Expatriate United Nations humanitarian workers entered Iraq on April 4 for the first time since their withdrawal last month, a senior World Food Programme (WFP) official said.

An 11-person team from the WFP and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), as well as representatives from the UN Office for the Humanitarian Co-ordinator for Iraq (UNOHCI), were assessing humanitarian needs in the Southern port city of Umm Qasr, the WFP's emergency co-ordinator for Iraq Russell Ulrey said.
