Ayodhya: About a dozen articles, including a stone pedestal of a deity, seven pieces of tiles, moulded terracotta pieces, round coin-shaped earthen pieces and decorated stone pieces were found in the excavation in the acquired land Ayodhya on April 4, sources said.

The digging was done in seven trenches J-3, J-4, J-5, J-6, J-7, K-7 and K-8 and a new trench. A new trench, T-5, was opened on April 4.

The number of labourers engaged in the excavation work were increased to 89, including eight Muslims, in the excavation work.
