Jabalpur: Reiterating its resolve to construct the Ram temple at Ayodhya, VHP
(Vishwa Hindu Parishad) on April 10 said it would not be deterred from constructing
the temple even if the judgement of the Apex court went against it.
"Even if the judgment of Apex court of India goes against us it would not deter VHP
from its sole aim to construct the Ram temple at Ayodhya and install the idols of
Lord Ram there with full Hindu rituals," VHP international vice president Acharya
Giriraj Kishore told reporters in Jabalpur.
Terming as "unfortunate" the Supreme Court's order on the undisputed land at
Ayodhya, the VHP leader claimed NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government led by
Atal Behari Vajpayee was in no way different from other governments, headed by
Congress.
He said a high-powered committee of VHP would meet at Ayodhya on April 29 to
deliberate on issues including construction of the temple.
Replying to another query, Kishore said the controversial "Bhojshala" at Dhar in
Madhya Pradesh was opened for Hindus and Muslims because of the forthcoming Assembly
elections in the state.
Kishore, however, refused to answer a query about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Mayawati's outbursts against Hindu deities, saying he did not answer "political
questions".
