Srinagar: Delhi police questioned separatist amalgam Hurriyat Conference chairman Abdul Ghani Bhat following the interrogation of arrested separatist leader Zamrooda Habib, who alleged he received funds from Pakistan High Commission in India.

A team of Delhi police visited the residence of Bhat on April 10 evening and quizzed him for nearly an hour on allegations made by Habib that the Rs three lakh seized from her in Delhi, which she reportedly received from a high-ranking official of Pakistan High Commission, was meant for the Hurriyat Chairman, sources said.

Bhat, when asked to comment about the visit of Delhi police team, said, "Since I have been named in the FIR (first information report), they had come to find out where I stand."

He, however, declined to give details of his questioning.

Habib was arrested outside Pakistan High Commission along with Delhi-based spokesman of Hurriyat Shabbir Dar in February 2003.
