Gulmarg (Kashmir): Bollywood dream merchants could be back in Jammu and Kashmir after a long gap, if the sentiment voiced by a galaxy of film-makers led by Dadasaheb Phalke award winner Yash Chopra, who are now in Kashmir is anything to go by.

Reflecting the sentiment of the filmmakers, Yash Chopra said things in Kashmir have improved and they would like to come here for shooting films.

Chopra and five other producers, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, Manmohan Shetty, Ramesh Tulani and Ashok Jhakaria are here to explore revival of film shooting in Kashmir. They attended the concluding function of the second Gulmarg ski cup organised by the J and K Tourism Department.

Yash Chopra said he recently returned from Switzerland and being in Kashmir made him feel that Kashmir was more beautiful.

Taking a trip down the memory lane, Chopra, the maker of blockbusters like 'Dil To Pagal Hai', said he had shot several films in Kashmir. He said he had come here for the first time as a tourist in 1958, but his first visit as a moviemaker was in 1964.

He said he had always found Kashmir as an extremely beautiful place and would love to visit the valley again to shoot films.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra said the situation had taken a positive turn since he filmed his last film 'Mission Kashmir'. He said Kashmir was an "extremely good" location for film shooting.
