Kolkata: Defence Minister George Fernandes on April 12 said that the United States
government might have some priorities in the current international situation for
being soft towards Pakistan, despite its support to the terrorists in India.
"The Bush administrations may have some priorities in the current situation,"
Fernandes told reporters when asked why the White House was soft to Pakistan.
It was a fact that Pakistan had been helping the terrorists for a long time and
India was fully geared to crush them, the Minister said on his arrival in Kolkata
for a day-long visit to the city.
