Krishna to lead all-party delegation to meet PM

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna will lead an all-party delegation to meet Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to press for special area status for Hyderabad-Karnataka under Article 371 of the Constitution.

The Chief Minister's Secretariat said the delegation would meet Vajpayee and Advani on April 24 and 25.

Another team comprising Bijapur District In-charge Minister Basavaraj Patil (Sasnur), Infrastructure Minister T John and Karnataka's special representative in Delhi T B Jayachandra would call on Railway Minister Nitish Kumar to press for the completion of the Gadag-Sholapur railway line broad-gauging by December this year.
