New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on April 13 greeted people on twin
festivals of 'Baisakhi' and 'Bihu' saying it is time to spare a thought for farmers
who keep the granaries full.
In his message, Vajpayee said 'Baisakhi' is an occasion to pay tribute to the
farmers, who contribute their mite for the socio-economic development of the nation.
'Bihu' brings peace, prosperity and happiness to people belonging to all diverse
communities in the beautiful state of Assam, he said.
Vajpayee hoped that these festivals would usher in all-round prosperity, peace,
abundance and happiness for everyone.
