Dhanbad: Defence Minister George Fernandes on April 14 said Iraq war had showed that
the United Nations had lost its importance and credibility.
The war proved that powerful nations could set aside all prescribed norms to bully
others, questioning the credibility of the United Nations, Fernandes told
reporters.
The UN had also failed to prove its utility to establish stability and peace, he
said.
