New Delhi: The marine engineer in Goa who was the confirmed as the first SARS
(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) case in India, was on April 18 discharged from
the hospital where he was kept under isolation, Health Ministry officials said.
"The patient was discharged today with an advice to remain at home till completion
of 12 days since catching the infection," the officials said.
Nobody in his family has developed any symptoms of the killer pneumonia disease,
they said.
