As-Saliyah (Qatar): Iraqi police captured former Finance Minister Hikmat al-Azzawi
and handed him over to coalition forces, the US Central Command said on April 19 at
its war headquarters.
The minister, who figures in 45th position on a list of 55 most-wanted Iraqis, "was
captured by Iraqi police in Baghdad and turned over to the First Marine Division" on
April 18, Centcom claimed.
He was the fifth person on the Centcom list to be captured.
