Srinagar: A seven-year-old girl was killed and a house damaged in shelling by
Pakistani troops along the line of control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir,
police sources said on April 19.
The girl, identified as Nazmeen, was killed on April 18 night when a shell exploded
outside her house in village Gawalta, sources said, adding a house was also
damaged.
Indian troops guarding the border retaliated. However, the casualties suffered by
Pakistani troops could not be immediately known, the sources said.
