India rubbishes Pak minister's charge on WMD
Monday, April 21 2003 21:10 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: India on April 21 dismissed as "totally baseless" Pakistan's charge that it has developed chemical and biological weapons and kept them in some neighbouring countries.

"It is a totally baseless charge. It is a figment of vivid imagination of the Pakistan Minister of Information, or rather disinformation," External Affairs Ministry spokesman said.

He was asked about remarks by Pakistan minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed that India continues to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
