Ranchi: MCC (Maoist Communist Centre) extremists raided Karampatha village in
Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district late on April 20 and set on fire to railway
sleepers in the nearby railway station and couple of houses.
West Singhbhum Superintenent of Police Praveen Kumar said the ultras believed to
have crossed Orissa border and opened fire in the village, 13 km from Kiriburu
police station as the people ran to safety.
The MCC activists also set on fire 2 to 3 houses, he said.
There was no report of any casualty.
