Jammu: Militants hanged a member of nomadic Gujjar tribe in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after abducting him when he was on his way home, official sources said in Jammu on April 21.

Abdul Rasheed was kidnapped on April 19 from Gambhir-Muglian village and after a daylong torture, hanged from a tree on the outskirts of the village, they said.

His body was recovered by police on April 20 night.

On April 18, a day before this incident, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants had chopped off nose, tongue and ears of a villager in Chatru area of Doda district, the sources said.
