Armitage's visit to India, Pak likely in May

New Delhi: As part of US' renewed diplomatic engagement in South Asia, American Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage will visit India and Pakistan early in May.

According to sources, Armitage is likely to visit India on May 8 for talks with senior External Affairs Ministry officials and proceed to Islamabad the next day.

Armitage last visited the two countries a year back when troops of India and Pakistan were locked in a tense military standoff on their borders. PTI
