AAAI banking on young talent to excel at Cannes
Thursday, April 24 2003 16:14 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: In its bid for a trophy at the Cannes Advertising Festival in France, The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) is putting its weight on a team of three young creative persons to participate in the International Young Creatives Contest – one of the most interesting parts of the Festival. In the International Contest, each team representing a country is pitted against similar teams from across the world. All the teams are given a subject (a social or a public cause) and are asked to create a campaign in 2 days' time.

AAAI is organising the AAAI Young Creatives Contest to zero in on the terrific trio that will fly the Indian flag at Cannes. The Times of India Group, the official festival representative (India) of the Cannes Festival, is to sponsor the official Indian team of young creative at Cannes.

AAAI Contest has the theme of Child Labour this time. Participants are required to create a Print advertisement and a Web banner on this theme, the last date of receiving entries for which is April 28, 2003. The winning team would be the official Indian team to participate at the International Young Creatives Contest at Cannes this year.

The winning young creatives get not only an all expenses paid trip to France, but also a chance to win the much-sought–after trophy for India. In addition, they also gain tremendously from exposure to international advertising across the media.
