Another SARS case tested positive in Pune

Pune: One more person has tested positive of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in the city, taking the number of those affected by the disease to four, official sources said.

The victim identified as Joseph Daniel Pawar, is an uncle of Stanley D'silva, who had tested positive for SARS in the city on April 21, PMC health officer Dr Anil Rawethkar told reporters.

The report of the test conducted on Pawar by national institute of virology (NIV), Pune indicated the presence of SARS virus.
