Karunanidhi discharged from hospital
Saturday, April 26 2003 19:49 Hrs (IST)

Coimbatore: Dravida Munnetra Kazhakam (DMK) president M Karunanidhi, who was hospitalised on April 26 following low pressure and profuse sweating, was discharged, hospital sources said.

The DMK chief was kept under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) for nearly three hours and his condition became normal after first aid.

Since an ECG, taken at around 16:30 hours (IST), was normal, the DMK chief was discharged and left for his hotel room.

He had suffered from exhaustion, due to overnight travel and inadequate food, the sources added.
