J&K boat capsize: 22 children rescued

Srinagar: Twenty-two children have been rescued and two bodies recovered while search is on for four other children missing in the April
26 boat capsize in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on April 27.
Twenty-eight school children were returning to Jagerpora after attending school at Arampoba when the boat in which they were crossing
a stream capsized. All the children were feared drowned.
However, 22 of them were rescued, while two bodies were recovered, the sources said.
Of the rescued, one boy has been shifted to children's hospital in Srinagar and rest were discharged after first aid at a local hospital, they
said.
Search operations for the remaining four children continued for the second successive day on April 27, they said, adding assistance of
Army and police divers have been sought.
Chances of their survival were remote as they remained under water for over 24 hours, they added.
