'Bhojshala solution most sound and feasible'

New Delhi: Government on April 28 said the solution arrived on the Bhojshala temple dispute in Madhya Pradesh was "most sound and
feasible" and arrangements done following it were working satisfactorily.
"Keeping in view the background of the case and the practical considerations, the solution arrived at was considered to be most sound
and feasible. The arrangements have worked satisfactorily," Tourism Minister Jagmohan said in reply to a question in Lok
Sabha.
While members of the Muslim community were being allowed access to the premises for namaz on Fridays between 13:00 and 15:00
hours (IST), the Hindus were being permitted access on Tuesdays as also to hold traditional ceremonies during Basant Panchami each
year, he said while elaborating on the recommendations of the state government, the views of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)
and Department of Culture.
Besides watch and ward staff, the safety and security of the monument was the responsibility of the district collector and district magistrate
and the state government, he said.
Giving figures of the inflow of visitors to Bhojshala between April 8 and 25 this year, Jagmohan said most of them visited it on Tuesdays
and Fridays.
