IPG president issued with suspension notice

Mumbai: The Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) president captain Kenneth Khan has been issued with a suspension notice by the Air India (AI) management for refusing to operate a flight from London.

"Captain Khan was issued with a suspension notice on April 29 night for refusing to operate the Boeing 747 flight out of London last week after he was denied a certificate that none of the accompanying crew had not travelled to SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) affected region for the last 10 days," AI sources said.

A total of 45 pilots have been suspended so far since April 26 for refusing to operate and abandoning of flights at various destinations. Of the 45, 12 have been chargesheeted.
