Wednesday, April 30 2003 12:20 Hrs (IST)
Ajmer: A local court on April 30 adjourned hearing in VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) leader Praveen Togadia's case to June 19 giving
police 45 days' time to complete investigation.
Accepting the plea of the prosecution, Additional Judicial Magistrate Indu Pareek gave police 45 days' time to complete investigations
after Togadia appeared in his court to face trial in connection with cases under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Arms Act.
Togadia was released on bail by District and Sessions judge Hari Singh Punia on April 22 after his arrest on April 13 for distributing Trishuls
(tridents) and making "inflammatory speech" in the Dharm Sabha of VHP in Ajmer.
The VHP leader reached the court this morning (Apr 30) with his counsel Onkar Singh Lakhawat, who is also vice-president of the state
unit of BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).
Togadia will be leaving for Bandikui in Dausa district later in the day for addressing a Dharm Sabha of the VHP there.
