One killed, 33 injured in a powerful blast in JK

Jammu: One person was killed and 33 others injured in a powerful explosion at a bus stand in Doda
district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 5, police sources said in Jammu.
Some unidentified militants hurled a grenade at Doda bus stand, which exploded near a passenger bus
at 11:55 hours, the sources told reporters.
The explosion, which rocked the entire town, killed one person on the spot and injured 33 others, four of
them seriously, they said.
Soon after the blast, security forces cordoned off the entire area and launched an operation to track
down the militants involved in the blast, the sources said.
The bus stand is located close to the high security area housing the offices of the Deputy Commissioner
and the Senior Superintendent of Police besides Rastriya Rifles headquarters.
