New Delhi: McDonald's India has entered into a partnership with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation
(DMRC). It will be providing a host of facilities to the Metro commuters who will be able to avail some
special offers at McDonald's Family restaurant at ISBT (Kashmiri Gate Terminus).
McDonald's have invested close to Rs 2 crore in the ISBT restaurant. Speaking to exchange4media,
Vikram Bakshi, MD, McDonald's North India commented, "Today we have 23 restaurants in the national
capital region itself and considering the fact that we are growing at a annual compounded rate of 40 per
cent, we expect this venture to be a profitable one."
McDonald's restaurant at ISBT is expecting a footfall of 1,500 people on a single day. McDonald's has
also been catching attention for its latest TVC (featuring old couples). Reacting on the TVC, Bakshi
added, "I think the TVC has cut through the clutter of the usual commercials and that was exactly the
brief given to the agency."
McDonalds has allocated Rs 18 crores for its marketing and promotional activities out of which almost 75
per cent will be spend on TVCs. McDonalds plans to add some more outlets in Delhi in the near future.
